On the one hand it’s a great modern take on the vox pop. The guys listed below are all experts on search engine optimisation (SEO) (as the piece promises). Usually you’d see views like this together in an article or over audio (eg radio or podcast) or video (eg YouTube).
But this, we think, is more effective.
On the negative side, we do wonder whether presenting information like this is going to remain a handicap in terms of – wait for it – SEO.
Google and other search engines have traditionally had a tough time working out what’s going on in still images and video. That’s one reason why contextual text (eg intros) or transcripts of audio/video have been valuable.
But we’d rather think about the humans seeing this.
